If I can learn it, so can you!
The truth is, when I first decided to start my own business and venture into an online business, I had no clue what I was doing or where to start. I was on a shoe-string budget and didn't have a lot to invest in professional services. But as a self-taught graphic designer (yes, my website, everything on my website, and my social media platforms was designed by yours truly), I knew that I could learn anything. So when I needed a website, I took a 2-week staycation from my 9-to-5 to learn how to build websites. And from there, I became a DIYer (Do It Yourself). If I needed something, I learned how to do it myself. Soon I was doing these services for other people and sharing and teaching others how to do the same.
Now, this does not mean that I never support or invest in professional services because I do. As my business grew and I needed to focus my time on other tasks, I was glad to hire other professionals. But I still enjoy being in control and managing my own website and graphics.
